Film trailer promises lots of action for movie fans of psp games.
Sometimes an actor steps into a role that fits like a glove. In fact, it might fit a little too snuggly and that actor decides to move on in order to avoid being typecast. Back in the summer of 2008, Sierra Entertainment released Robert Ludlum?s The Bourne Conspiracy. The game released the year after The Bourne Ultimatum hit theaters (2007) and in the wake of The Bourne Supremacy (2004) and The Bourne Identity (2002).
At that time, Sierra?s video-game didn?t have either Matt Damon?s voice or likeness in the game because he was not going to have anything to do with Jason Bourne. That announcement came at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival. Damon said, ?We have ridden that horse as far as we can.?
Well, apparently, that idea was reversed somewhat (was that a cheer in the background?) but then recanted. Earlier this week, Damon said that he could see the role of Jason Bourne taken up by Russell Crowe, Denzel Washington or Ryan Gosling but might be amenable to the idea if director Paul Greengrass (who directed Bourne Supremacy and Bourne Ultimatum) was in charge of the project.
Greengrass, though, has stated that Bourne is not in his future plans. Greengrass, though, and Damon have teamed up with Green Zone (you know, that other GZ) that has Damon playing a soldier fighting to expose the Bush administration?s deception about Iraqi weapons of mass destruction.
Whether or not Damon reprises the role ? a role he was very good at ? there doesn?t seem to be a chance that he would be typecast as the iconic spy. A mere look at his background in movies precludes arriving at that conclusion. His roles have spanned many genres from the early days with standout roles in Good Will Hunting to instant classics like Saving Private Ryan to more lighthearted fare like The Legend of Bagger Vance, and even animated features ? Titan A.E. and the pending Happy Feet 2. With five movies in post-production (according to www.imdb.com) and four more in development, Damon is certainly in demand and working hard. Green Zone releases on March 12, and will bring Damon back to action movies ? something that film fans will likely enjoy. Let?s just hope that a Bourne script might also catch his fancy.
