Gamers will soon be able to experience Madden in a whole new way. EA Sports president Peter Moore confirmed to Bloomberg the long-standing football series will appear on popular social networking website Facebook psp games.
“We have to make ‘Madden’ more accessible,” Moore said. “You’ll see us on Facebook going forward.” While an official announcement and release date were not given, the move to Facebook will give players a “simpler experience” compared to the console counterparts, Moore added.
According to the latest NPD data, the Madden series has gone on to sell 63 million copies in the U.S. alone.
Last November, Electronic Arts acquired known Facebook games developer Playfish in a deal upwards of $300 million dollars. The company hopes to reach the platform’s 400 million users with both new and familiar titles of its existing franchises.
